Stewarding

Procession stewards

These stewards will ensure that everyone is safe on the march from Marble Arch to Trafalgar square.

Some stewards will welcome people at the starting point, helping them to gather in a safe way and relaying instructions for beginning the procession, then follow along the entire length of the route.

Some stewards will be stationed in pairs at temporarily closed junctions along the route.  Once the procession passes, they will move the bollards and join the procession as stewards.

These stewards will manage the safe arrival and flow of people into and out of the square during the 1.5hrs of prayer, worship and celebration at Trafalgar Square.

You will be stationed in Trafalgar Square whilst the procession is happening, so you will not be able to join the procession.  This is the best option for those who are unable to walk the whole route, or those who don’t mind missing the moving part of the celebration.
